Being teased for his color, Johnny the white koala joins a traveling carnival with Hamish, a Tasmanian devil, and Higgens, a photographer monkey as talent agents. On the way through the Australian outback desert, the trailer they are in comes loose and crashes. Johnny must live up to the hero status Hamish presents him as while the outback locals try to rescue a kidnapped koala from Bog, a giant crocodile and his dingo lackeys.

Yvonne’s Character: Miranda, a beautiful, but tough koala who fights to protect her home in the Australian outback.

Interesting Trivia: Until the movie’s DVD release under the name Koala Kid the movie was titled The Outback, or simply Outback.

The movie is a Korean-American co-production

Yvonne uses her Australian accent in the movie.

Yvonne’s character wields a boomerang and displays some similarities to Sarah Walker.

The movie was released on DVD by Walmart & Sam’s Club on the same day as The Guilt Trip.

Synopsis
THE OUTBACK is a comic adventure tale about Johnny the albino Koala Bear, an outcast at home who becomes a freak show hit at the carnival.

I may actually watch it, I've always had a thing for koala, it's kind of my childhood animal (;

i do not like the K-Pop people but i definitely want to see this because Yvonne's in it!

So I got bored and started thinking of the conversation about the movie in the random thread the other day and I came across a Korean version of the movie poster which features a female koala, which may be the character Yvonne voices in the movie. (I love the pink on her cheek. )

Synopsis
On January 2012, an exciting 3D safari adventure starts!
Jani, a lonely circus koala, lands in the middle of the Australian wilderness one day by accident. He becomes the 'Koala Kid' when his greedy manager Hamish, photographer Higgins and himself help a group of animals being bullied by Bog the crocodile and his gang. His new animal friends including the cute koala Charlotte and the beautiful koala Miranda, who believes Jani will protect them from the Bog gang. Hamish and Higgins take advantage of Jani by selling pictures of him. One day, the Bog gang sneaks into the area and kidnaps Charlotte. Everyone tells Jani the 'Koala Kid' to go and save her... but will he be able to become a real hero by defeating the gang and saving Charlotte?

Here's another Korean trailer with insertions of the Korean cast talking about the movie, which features more scenes with the character Yvonne may be playing in the American version. Including scenes in which she displays some Sarah Walker-like skills.

The title for the Korean version is "Koala Kids"...apparently. at least that's what it's written on the poster there.

And a bit more information about the character Miranda.

As earlier reports revealed, the film is follows Johnny (dubbed by Taemin), a white koala who embarks on an adventure to save Australia’s natural resources. Sunny will voice another koala named Miranda, who also plays an important role in the quest. Other voice actors include Yoon Da Hoon who plays Hammish and Jung Eun Byul who plays Miranda’s little sister, Charlotte.

I've only seen it in Korean with English subtitles. The movie was really cute though. I wish I could see the version with Yvonne's voice though. And I want to know when it is coming out.
